One of Liz’s favorite things about therapy is that it is a great space not only to learn new tools and resources, but to discover and practice ones that people already have but maybe don’t know how and when to use them.
Most of her professional experience has been with older adults, but she is excited about working with people of all ages after graduating from the University of Kansas with her LMSW.
Some of her areas of clinical focus are aging, life transitions, non-suicidal self-injury, sibling and other family relationships, grief, employment issues, and hoarding disorders.
Liz draws from a myriad of philosophies and modalities to create a framework for sessions that is eclectic and personalized to the client.
Some of her most valued tools are drawn from Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, CBT, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. Her priority with clients is to create a space and relationship for them to feel accepted, heard, and welcome.
